I am using two pic18f microcontrollers to two cc transreceivers, one transreceiver is connected to first pic18f at the transmitting end and the other transreceiver is connected to second pic18f at the receiving end.
How to write code for this circuit operation ddatasheet c18 compiler?. Anyone who had experience please guide me. You pick the components, then we get the favour of seeking info on the cc before writing the code for you?
You dont have any windows datasheeh cleaning, or floors to be swept too? This might be a start: AN GlennB has given you sage advice. Please apply this wisdom in future posts. The below routine is written for pic16f I need to modify routine that works with pic18f I do not proclaim “over smartness”.
I have no reason to do so, and I would hope to be more humble than datxsheet even if I knew it all. I have, however, spent time trying to help you get started. Perhaps the C is not a legacy device of the C I am fully aware that any code presented in the APP Note was not specifically written for the C, the 18F, and likewise the C18 compiler.
The link was meant as a way to dataxheet you looking and thinking at dstasheet information available on the manufacture’s website, not an instant solution to your programming needs.
Is it possible you could take the two ‘s you have and get them communicating with each other via SPI to better understand the interface? Break it down into manageable chunks of code? I think I’ll go get this Valentine’s Day knife out of my back now. I already have the components such as pi18f,transreceivers.
I have also studied spi communication. It may be as simple as a communication language issue. We need more info. Have you ever written any firmware using the C18 compiler and successfully used it on an 18F? Almost all of the struggles you might experience with SPI are likely to have been already discussed by others in that series of threads. One a master and the other a slave. The slave would have an LED that would be toggled on and off by pressing a button on the master.
If, by chance, you are looking for additional technical information on the C, your time may be better served on a more appropriate forum or website pertaining to TI components. I hope this helps you a bit more. The problem I am having is not with c18 compiler because I written around 20 programs in c The conclusion is I don’t know how to write programs and compile them in IAR compiler so I could not be able to analyze whats going on in that program for example, which part of the program is responsible for receiving the data from pic microcontroller to cc wireless transceiver?
So can you analyze this and help me to solve this problem?
I too analyzing this. My special thanks for all those who put their precious time to analyse and help to solve this problem. I am sorry for the link in my above post showing error.
The link is again posted below http: Darasheet understand much better now. Thank you for spelling out your problems more specifically.
Unfortunately I do not have experience with these modules. I did, however, reply to your post so i feel compelled to at least try to help. Have you tried using the SmartRF Studio application to configure your devices? Also, here is a link to the forums that seem to discuss these radios.
Perhaps reading through these threads might help you find a solution. If not, try dataeheet your questions on that forum.
I wish you good luck with your project. I think one of the problem people will encounter for converting the pic16 firmware to c18 is cc1000 the fact that the C code written for pic for cc is for CCS or PICC which I don’t remember but are not compatible with C If I don’t remember the wrong, the problem is the syntax of union structure in which the firmware used a lot in the header file to define the bits of register. This give me hell of headache as they have to be corrected one by one in order to be accepted by c18 compiler.
Debug breakpoints datasheeh disabled 16F88 cannot set internal c1c000 frequency beyond Why does my PIC32 run slower than expected? Glenn If it is worth writing it is worth writing in assembler. When you have calculated the worst case time needed for a project, triple the numerical value and raise to the next time unit.
